Cultural difference???

this week there were a lot of parties. people here usually start partying on thursday night and they party on friday and saturday night as well. but this week, because of the convocation all the classes on thursday morning were cancelled so they started partying on wednesday night. and they partied on thursday, friday, and saturday night as well. i only went 2 of them but it was a lof of fun as usual.
i think its quite different from drinking parties in japan. in japan we eat something while we drink and we start drinking at the dinner time(like nomikai in japanese). but here, we just keep drinking at home or a bar. and we start drinking late, at like 9 or 10ish. and we eat some snacks or something like that but we dont really eat something while we drink here. its also so much fun so it doesnt matter though.
by the way, because i had been very lazy this week i have a lot of things to do now.... i have to read a lot and i have some tests... (>_<)

Break

hey guys, how are you doing? nothing special has happened to me these days so its kind of hard to write a blog.... my classes are getting better. the 1st week, it was so tiring and hard for me. i didnt feel like going to class. and still its tiring but i've been getting used to my classes.

and at first my classmates looked so chilly that i felt uncomfortable being in a class. i felt like kind of isolated. but once i talk to them and i can see that they are friendly as well as the most people here in boone are. i realized again that it is important to talk to people before thinking about what they are like. and the professors here in appstate are so nice! they are so kind and they care about us a lot.

anyway, its been almost a month since i came here but i'm doing ok! and having a great time! i have a lot of homework but i am NOT in the triangle(dorm→classroom→library→dorm). some people who have studied abroad say that they got into this triangle but i really dont think i'm in this situation. i study a lot(i mean i study more than i did in japan) but still i have enough time to chill with my friends, go to a party, or whatever. so thats why i think i am having a great time!

i will post some pics next time. maybe...
